1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "you," or "your") and AnRouter, Inc. ("AnRouter," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the AnRouter API gateway and related services (the "Services").
By creating an account, accessing the Services, or using an API key, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are acting on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not access or use the Services.
2. The Services
AnRouter provides a unified API gateway that routes requests to various large language model providers including but not limited to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, DeepSeek, and others ("Model Providers"). The Services include the API, the developer dashboard, documentation, and any associated tooling.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. For material changes that adversely affect your use, we will provide reasonable advance notice via email or the dashboard.
We do not guarantee that the Services will be available in all jurisdictions or that every model endpoint will remain available continuously.
3. Accounts
To access the Services, you must register an account by providing accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and API keys, and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- You may not share API keys with third parties without our prior written consent.
- You must promptly notify us at support@anrouter.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- Accounts are non-transferable and may not be sold, assigned, or sublicensed.
AnRouter reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that have been inactive for an extended period, with reasonable notice where practicable.
4. Restrictions
You agree not to, and not to enable others to:
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations.
- Generate, distribute, or facilitate content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or that infringes third-party intellectual property rights.
- Attempt to circumvent rate limits, usage quotas, or security controls.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive source code from the Services or any underlying model.
- Use the Services to develop competing API gateway or routing services.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from the Services beyond your authorized usage.
- Resell or sublicense access to the Services without our prior written approval.
- Impersonate AnRouter or any Model Provider, or imply any endorsement or partnership that does not exist.
5. API Usage & Quotas
Your account is subject to rate limits and token quotas determined by your subscription plan. We reserve the right to throttle or temporarily suspend access if usage patterns exceed plan limits or threaten platform stability.
You are responsible for monitoring your usage and ensuring adequate credits or payment methods are in place. AnRouter shall not be liable for service disruptions caused by your account reaching quota limits.
Abuse of the Services—including but not limited to automated stress testing outside of designated sandbox environments, prompt injection attacks, or coordinated botting—may result in immediate account suspension.
6. Inputs & Outputs
You retain ownership of any content you submit to the Services ("Inputs"). You grant AnRouter a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to process Inputs solely for the purpose of delivering the Services.
Model responses ("Outputs") generated via the Services are subject to the terms of the relevant Model Provider. You are solely responsible for verifying the accuracy, legality, and appropriateness of Outputs before relying on or distributing them.
AnRouter does not review or edit Inputs or Outputs and is not responsible for any content generated by Model Providers. By submitting an Input, you represent that you have all necessary rights and permissions to do so.
7. Intellectual Property
The Services, including the AnRouter dashboard, API infrastructure, documentation, trademarks, and all associated software, are owned by AnRouter or licensed to us, and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
You may not use the AnRouter name, logo, or branding in any manner that implies a relationship, endorsement, or partnership beyond the ordinary customer relationship established by these Terms, without our prior written consent.
8. Payment & Billing
Certain features of the Services require payment. By providing a payment method, you authorize AnRouter (through our payment processor) to charge applicable fees according to your selected plan, including any usage-based charges.
- All fees are in USD unless otherwise stated and are non-refundable except as required by law or as expressly provided in our refund policy.
- We may change pricing with 30 days' written notice to you. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
- You are responsible for all taxes associated with your use of the Services, excluding taxes on AnRouter's net income.
- Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.
9. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ANROUTER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
ANROUTER DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE OUTPUTS GENERATED BY MODEL PROVIDERS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE. YOU ASSUME ALL RISK ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES AND ANY OUTPUTS.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL ANROUTER, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
IN NO EVENT SHALL ANROUTER'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO ANROUTER IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (USD $100).
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AnRouter and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your use of the Services, your Inputs, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
12. Termination
Either party may terminate these Terms at any time. You may terminate by closing your account through the dashboard settings. AnRouter may suspend or terminate your access immediately for cause (including violation of these Terms) or with 30 days' notice without cause.
Upon termination, all licenses granted to you under these Terms will immediately cease. Sections 4, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 13 will survive termination.
13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms and any disputes arising hereunder shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services that cannot be resolved informally shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.
You agree to waive any right to a class action proceeding. All claims must be brought in your individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any plan-specific addenda, constitute the entire agreement between you and AnRouter regarding the Services.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force.
- No Waiver. Failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of AnRouter's right to enforce it in the future.
- Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
- Force Majeure. AnRouter shall not be liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, government actions, or third-party infrastructure failures.
- Updates. We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated with at least 14 days' notice. Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance.
